Propylon provides an affordable and quality living atmosphere in Marquette that is designated solely for independent physically disabled adults. Medical verification is required and instruction will be provided by the Site Manager.
Each of the sixteen apartments boast a private entrance. Four of these have two bedrooms.
The facility seeks to give physically disabled adults an opportunity to live in a pleasant setting that encourages their independence. It provides a secure community based environment that protects privacy and promotes personal dignity.
Propylon was constructed under the auspices of HUD.
Each apartment contains a living room/dining area, kitchen, bedroom(s) and bathroom with a roll-in shower. The units are unfurnished except for a range top, microwave oven, wall oven, side by side refrigerator/freezer, dishwasher, garbage disposer, washer & dryer, and mini blinds.
A community room and terrace are available for tenants to get together for leisure time activities, picnics, etc.
Tenants are expected to maintain their apartments and live independently. They are encouraged to be active in the community.
Tenants are required to sign a one year lease for the first year, then month to month. In addition, tenants agree to pay Propylon a required percentage of their income for rent with the remaining costs is subsidized by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.
